Simulcast Licensing

PPCA can offer a simulcast licence to radio broadcasters that stream programs online simultaneously with the radio broadcast of those programs.

Commercial Radio Broadcasters

PPCA has a simulcast licence scheme in place for members of Commercial Radio Australia. If you are not a member of Commercial Radio Australia you can still obtain a simulcast licence from PPCA or directly from the rights holders of the relevant sound recordings.

Community Radio Broadcasters

CBAA Members

Members of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) are eligible to participate in the broadcast and simulcast licensing scheme for CBAA members.  This licence includes a broadcast licence, music on hold licence for the station and an optional simulcast licence. Non- CBAA Members

PPCA has a combined broadcast and music on hold licence for non-CBAA members which also includes an optional simulcast licence. If you are not a member of CBAA (and you would like further information regarding this licence), then please contact PPCA at business.affairs@ppca.com.au. 

Simulcast Notification Forms for Community Radio Stations

All community radio broadcasters who have opted to obtain a simulcast licence from PPCA, will be required to submit a Simulcast Notification Form in accordance with the terms of the PPCA licence. There are separate forms available for CBAA members and non-CBAA members.

Narrowcast Radio Broadcasters

PPCA has a broadcast licence which also includes an optional simulcast licence for narrowcast radio broadcasters. If you would like further information regarding this licence, then please contact PPCA at business.affairs@ppca.com.au.
